The AA is synonymous with its big yellow recovery trucks offering roadside assistance to those with break down issues. However, in 2015 they ventured into financial services in a venture-backed by Bank of Ireland.
The AA now offers credit cards and are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
If you have a dispute for good or services bought when using an AA Credit card, then you may be able to claim your money back from the AA. Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act states that credit card providers such as the AA are liable to the consumer if there is a genuine complaint between the purchaser and the supplier. If there is a valid complaint and claim then you may be able to claim your money back from the credit card company as they are jointly liable with the seller.
